Social and Emotional Learning is an important component of student learning, along with thinking skills and content knowledge. As students navigate complex life and classroom environments they need to develop knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. It is likely you already teach many of the aspects of Social Emotional Learning. This course will introduce you to Social and Emotional Learning with ideas and strategies for implementation in a virtual setting.
